Do you have a good diaper bag that is a backpack?

Do you have an active 11 month old?  Perhaps you are using an over the shoulder diaper bag, but find it is too bulky and it is too hard to carry it and juggle your little one. Backpack diaper bags can give you both hands free and  less restricted movement. It may be time to consider investing in a backpack bag. Lots of backpacks have organizational pieces that you can use to help you get organized in a hurry.

When looking around at backpack diaper bags look for one that is easy to organize and access what's inside. Whether an Eddie Bauer bag or a generic bag from Babies-R-Us a good place to start is storage for bottles and an easy-access pocket to shove a wallet, or other personal items in quickly. Adjustable straps are a big factor in your decision. Be sure to find comfortable straps that you can go with. Some bags have detachable/attachable straps to place on the back of a stroller. Also, check the large compartment and how it closes. It may be best to stay away from a drawstring closure, and lean more toward regular clasps or buckles.

Lastly, look at the fashion statement you want to make. Some parents may be more casual and opt for canvas or denim materials. Other fashion savvy parents may want to look at some of the new design patterns to don't shout that the diaper bag is a diaper bag. Look for what fits you.
